Janet Empey-Juba (email: jjuba-at-rochester.rr.com): I just can't thank you enough for the time and effort you have put into this valuable resource. I viewed some of the microfilm myself at Westfall Road, Rochester and the images were extremely blurry, they were handwritten notes and in German. Needless to say, I gave up on that project and moved on. So I know your effort was immeasurable. I learned some valuable information from these records, one in particular mentioned the hometown in Germany which I had really given up hope of finding. Kudos to your team. (2012-03-30 14:47:00)

Roger Scheunemann, Albuquerque NM (email: rscheunemann-at-comcast.net): Thank you so much for the work you are doing. I found the marriage of my great-great-great grandparents in your database. They are Fritz Joos and Friederike Eisenbraun and they were married 19 September 1848 in Zion Lutheran Church. Prior to finding this record we had no idea what Friederike's maiden name was. With the information we found on your site we were able to trace her ancestry back into the seventeenth century. Do you have any idea if or when you will be doing the baptisms. Their first son Charles Joos was born, we believe, on 2 April 1850 in Rochester, and was probably baptized in a Catholic Church. (2012-02-15 08:31:00)

William Wykoff (email: wwykoff-at-rochester.rr.com): Having learned tonight at CIG, RGS that the records of these two Lutheran churches were indexed and online has saved me countless hours of searching. I had been reluctant to begin searching in Germany for the marriage record of Johan Hoffman and Elisabeth Raumus predating 1850 until I had looked at the Rochester records. Now I can proceed and wish to thank the wonderful volunteers who have made this possible. Thank you. Vielen Dank! (2012-01-12 22:27:00)

Jane Ferner Lawrence (email: azsun16-at-cox.net): I discovered your website just a couple of weeks ago and since then, have located church marriage records for over 30 of my family members! In some cases I had the month and or year and was able to complete the date and place. Now I’m going to try to see if I can get certificates for my family tree. Many thanks! (2011-12-18 17:19:00)
